Sehra is an integral part of the groom’s attire and is usually made of threadwork, pearls,  beads,  and sometimes even precious stones. The sehra is worn over the groom’s turban and hangs down over his face, covering it partially or completely. The sehra is considered a symbol of honor, prosperity, and happiness.
